Transcripts and photocopies mainly from manuscripts in the British Library relating to the Russian travels of Samuel Bentham in 1781-1782. Includes a translation of "Severnoe prichernomor'e v 1775-1800" by E I Druzhinina (Moscow, 1959). Also contains some other related papers including a photocopy of the 1783 diary of Gertrude Harris, sister of the British Ambassador at St Petersburg.
