(1) Stating that Rogers may be able to help the recipient and hopes to see his paper when it is started, 11 Jan [1881]. Embossed with the House of Commons stamp. (2) Stating that he will be in London on Tuesday and will call either at the Freemason's Tavern or at 20 Regent Street, 12 Nov [c1881]. Stamped with the motto 'Ardea ardet ardua' surrounding a heron.

Both letters are autograph, with signatures.
