Acknowledgment by Edmund Scambler, bishop of Peterborough, of the receipt on 20 Oct 1571 of an instrument of resignation (with the attestation of Mark Broughton, notary public) of Dr James Ellis (Ellys) as rector of Middleton Cheney.
