The collection comprises 7 series: 1: file on career, 1920s-1976; 2: 'memoirs' - short stories, composed at various times during Hartridge's life which he intended to publish on his retirement, 1909-1976. His daughter selected those stories which had an autobiographical element in them; 3: Notes, 1947-1953; 4: Corrrespondence, 1928-1951; 5: Lectures, 1920s-1950s; 6: Publications, 1949-1950; 7: Photograph and painting, 1920s-1970s.
