Note issued by the Equitable Labour Exchange to the value of Five Hours. The order, on the Exchange's elaborately engraved form, is to the Storekeeper to deliver to the bearer stores to the value of Five Hours. The date and number are inserted in manuscript. The signatures of the Governor, Director, and Secretary are also original autograph.

The collection consists of Minutes of Committee Meetings and Annual General Meetings of the group from 1961-1987. There is also a large scrapbook detailing the activities and workings of the group at the hospital. The scrapbook contains newsletters, newspaper cuttings, thank you letters from staff and patients, photographs of events, and other ephemera.

Papers of I G Farben, 1956-1957, relate to the company's use of slave labour and comprise a copy of a letter from I G Farben denying that Salomon Freimann worked for them whilst a concentration camp inmate and a copy of an agreement between I G Farben and the Conference of Jewish Material Claims against Germany, concerning claims arising out of the employment of Jewish concentration camp prisoners in their factories in the region of Auschwitz.

Records of the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), formerly the National Council of Social Service, (NCSS). This is a large archive and one of great interest to those studying both charities and their development and the changing attitudes and ideas of voluntary aid from the early 20th century.

Internal Services records consist of the main series of minutes of NCSS/NCVO committees, Interdepartmental groups, Members' groups and Associated Bodies, regional and central organisation and the histories of various NCSS/NCVO departments. There are also short series of financial material, legal material and documentation from the Advice Unit and Rural Department of the NCVO.

The Membership Division records cover policy and the Research Department while the Public Affairs Division contains the National/International and Overseas Departments, the Press and Parliamentary sections including the Information Department and one of the largest series, that of publications.
