The archive consists of two parts.

In the letters Mrs Despard refers to Mr Wilson's poetry; she also sent him a poem that she had written. She refers to her own political activities, in Ireland, lecturing for the Labour Party against British Policy in India. She also mentions several of the illnesses that were beginning to restrict severely such activities.

The 1917 entries are flanked by an 'introduction' and by discursive notes, written in the 1960s, on the cultural and historical links of Russia and Great Britain, the fate of the Women's Battalions, an essay on Mazzini, and a concluding section on the Price of Library.

The diary refers to the atmosphere and events in St Petersburg and Moscow, also the meetings addressed by Jessie Kenney and Mrs Pankhurst. They met the leader of one of the Women's Battalions, formed to defend Russia against invasion, and many notables including Kerensky, Prince Youssoupoff, and Plekhanov, the leader of the Menshevik Party.

The archive consists of four copies of the newsletter of the Suffragette Fellowship (1946-1966); roll of honour of Suffragette Prisoners 1905-1914 (undated, c 1960), summons and press cuttings relating her imprisonment and suffrage including postcard from Mrs Pankhurst (1907); pamphlet (1957); photographs of Lacon (1950); press cutting on Lacon and ephemera related to celebrations of suffrage activities (1960s-1970s).

The archive consists of a photocopy of a typescript memoir (28 pages). In 1985 Lois Lang-Sims wrote this memoir about her aunt, Agnes Maude Royden (see also 7AMR) the suffragist and campaigner for the ordination of women.

The archive consists of one file relating to the dissolution of the League of Church Militant, including some information about its history, 1928.
