Most refer to land and events in East Bedfont and the surrounding parishes. There are some fine estate plans (most notably the 1694 plan of Pates Manor, ref ACC/3259/SE2/001) and complementary records concerning enclosure and tithe apportionment. Family correspondence includes the letter book of William Sherborn 1846-1870 (ref ACC/3259/SF3/001) and letters signed by Sir Edward Sherburne, royalist and poet 1684-1687 (ref ACC/3259/SF3/003-005). In addition, there are many references to incidents in local history which will bear interesting comparison with records already deposited in the archive. The artificial collections consist partly of title deeds and partly of correspondence, which includes communication news concerning industrial developments in the West Riding of Yorkshire, 1806-1822 (ref ACC/3259/AX/042-046).

There are also minutes of meetings of three committees: the directors' committee (known also at various times as the depot management committee, the joint managing directors' committee and the group management committee), 1927-85 (ACC/3485/77-124), at which decisions concerning the operation of the business especially at branch level were taken, the committee of the staff life assurance scheme, 1952-8 (ACC/3485/125) and the sealing committee, 1966-8 (ACC/3485/126). The collection also includes a few share records (ACC/3485/127-31), internal accounting and financial records (ACC/3485/132-43), records relating to the administration of the business (ACC/3485/144-9) and records relating to property (ACC/3485/150-60).

The records refer to the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust's activities; the family papers of Samuel and Henrietta Barnett; the suburb organisations; the suburb recreational socities; the Henrietta Barnett school; the Institute; and the Wellgarth Nursery Training College. There are printed sources and oral history sources which can be referred to.
This collection contains a significant number of plans: plans of the suburb; plans of licence applications for proposed alterations; area plans of the suburb; and RIBA photographs of Lutyens drawings for the church.
There is also a large collection of photographs. These include subjects related to the suburb as well as images of the suburb itself.

One of his customers Denzil Suckling, a member of the Middle Temple, appears to have acted as trustee for a young girl, Sophia Bright; Gibbons' accounts include payment for her schooling, clothing and medical care.

This catalogue also includes records deposited in the Library from the Valuation and Rates Department of the Corporation of the City of London in 1920. These volumes relate to rate assessments and poor law administration of the Precinct and probably reached the Corporation via the neighbouring parish of St Botolph Aldgate, to which the inhabitants of the Precinct would naturally have turned in 1825. Later Precinct books are catalogued within the archive of St Botolph Aldgate.
