Papers of the Pottlitzer family, 1894-1968, including birth, marriage and death certificates; Deutsches Reich Kennkarte (identity card) for Margot Strauss (1194/7); reference from a former employer, where Margot worked as an editor/journalist, 10 Mar 1933 (1194/3); copy of a manuscript letter from Max Pottlitzer to the Polizeiamt, Schöneberg, Berlin, in which he registers the transfer of money and property to his mother, [as required by the recently enacted law relating to the registering of Jewish property], 22 Sep 1938 (1194/4).

Papers comprising an account of life in a Polish ghetto, 1942, contain copy extracts from a letter by a Jewish woman in a ghetto in Poland, in which she describes the horrendous living conditions. Mention is made of the immanent arrival of a Swiss commission of inspection.

Correspondence, 1994-1997, regarding the history of Jews in Poland with special reference to the blood libels of Tarnobrzeg and the 1946 Kielce pogrom. Also included is a copy translation of the historical files of Tarnobrzeg.

This World War Two Austrian soldier's letter, amongst other things, describes the systematic murder carried out by the Wehrmacht in Poland, and in particular the murder of civilians by the author's unit. The author also mentions the murder of a number of their own officers by the rank and file and includes an English translation.

Correspondence of the Reverend Wernham, 1937-1940, containing letters documenting his assistance to German Jewish refugees just before and after the outbreak of World War Two. Also included is material documenting German attitudes to the political situation immediately prior to the outbreak of war.

The archive consists of two parts.

Part 1 consists of records collated during Billington-Grieg's membership of a large number of international women's organisations, associated correspondence, drafts of papers presented at conferences, as well as publications received from the organisations. In addition there are papers related to her unpublished biography of Charlotte Despard.

Billington Grieg was a keen suffrage historian, and her historical writings on suffrage (as well as papers reflecting her own suffrage activism) are represented in her archive.

The archive consists of a photocopy of a typescript autobiographical essay by Kay Pilpel entitled, 'Growing up in the 1930s' in which she describes her family background, the Jewish community in London from the 1890s onwards, and her daily life as a child and schoolgirl at Tottenham High School for Girls, including her experience of evacuation during the Second World War. The essay is illustrated with family trees and includes copies of family photographs.

The archive consists of letters from Louisa to her mother Elizabeth Garrett Anderson from Holloway, letters to her family from the Women's Hospital Corps, Paris during First World War, a scrapbook relating to Endell Street Military Hospital and photographs, 1879-1943.

Photographic material accumulated by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI), relating both to the history of the AAGBI and to the wider history of anaesthesia and associated subjects from 1774 to 1997, largely comprising prints and slides, both colour and black and white, some undated, including some copies. The photographs include a series of portraits of the AAGBI Council, members of staff, and the AAGBI Group of Anaesthetists in Training (GAT) Council, and a large series of photographs used in the AAGBI publication Anaesthesia News. The papers of Siegfried Weiner, early 20th century, comprise a biographical account, written by his daughter; she describes life in Regensburg, Bavaria, the family's the difficulties following their emigration to Palestine, the war of independence and then their return to Regensburg.

Papers of Ernst Fraenkel comprising personal papers, 1919-1939, including First World War army record, and British registration card and correspondence between Kapitänleutnant Kraus of the press office of the German Ministry of Defence and Fraenkel regarding Jewish soldiers who fought for Germany during the two World Wars, 14 Apr 1961-26 Apr 1961.

Memoirs from the internment of Hugo Rosenstock during 1940 and 1941. This collection consists of two items: an original illustrated account of life as an internee of an internment camp on Douglas, Isle of Man, 1940-1941 and an undated typescript family history by another family member. The first item comprises a series of individual sketches of camp life mostly in verse form, which have subsequently been bound together and foliated. There is a contents page, though no introduction completes the volume.

Papers of Max Sander, 1915-1939, comprise his personal papers and notably include his World War One Military Pass which provides details of his army record (927/2); his Jewish identity card (927/8) and his Aliens Registration card (927/9).

Papers concerning Kristallnacht, 1939-1960, notably includes responses from rabbis to the Wiener Library, regarding the fate of their former synagogues in Germany during Kristallnacht, 1939; statistics on the fate of synagogues in Germany during Kristallnacht, 1939 and 1960; a translation of a Nazi document regarding the fate of synagogues in Germany during Kristallnacht and copies of contemporary Nazi newspaper extracts describing events on the same night, undated.

This volume is one of a set of seven that records the damage caused by the Independent Force's bombing raids during 1918 and the enemy counter-measures that were encountered. This volume starts with a general account of the bombing of Germany by the Independent Force and its predecessor, the 8th Brigade, Royal Flying Corps. The volume records bombing raids and their affect on railway targets including those at Metz, Thionville, Trier (Treves), Saarbrucken, Ehrang and other locations. Many of the photographs show bomb damage caused by specific raids and some of the plans are marked to show where bombs exploded.
