King's College London Council minutes and agenda books, 1828-1996, include a record of College business from the first public declaration of an intention to found King's College London in 1828 through to 1996, comprising signed manuscript minute books with indexes, 1828-1947; typescript signed minutes with indexes, 1947-1980; typescript unsigned minutes and associated papers, 1980-1996; rough minute books, 1829-1845; microfilm copies of Council minutes, 1828-1875; annotated Council agenda books, 1845-1980. Early minutes detail all aspects of College business, but are especially strong on staff appointments, fellowships, awards and prizes, and teaching in specific departments including King's College Hospital, before thinning out during the 1890s. Since the reunification of the College in 1980, they include strategic planning and mergers, the work of the most important College committees, the place of King's within the framework of Higher Education and, in particular, College finances, and include copies of letters, circulars, and other relevant inserts and enclosures, and from 1947, the minutes of the Joint Meeting of the Council and Theological Committee.

The collection is of prime interest to those studying visual culture and the influence of the media on public and private attitudes, but also to law students, twentieth century historians, psychologists and social scientists. The collection also includes a complete bound set of Gay News and its photograph collection, a nearly complete set of Gay Times, and a collection of banners (including those of OutRage!), badges, T-shirts and other artefacts.

Comic Book Collection: The first sub-fonds/sub-collection [CB/1] contains mainly British and American comics, graphic annuals and graphic novels. Including many mainstream titles such as, Doctor Who annuals, Batman and Star Trek comics.
The second sub-fonds/sub-collection [CB/2] contains UK, American and European comics, graphic annual, books and newspaper cuttings. The graphic annuals cover the work of over seventy individual artists including Raymond Briggs, Guido Crepax, Will Eisner, P. Craig Russell and Moebius. In addition there are 35 files containing cuttings about comics and comic strips.

The collection spans Kubrick's entire career from his time as a photographer in the 1940s and early 1950s until his last film in 1999 (Eyes Wide Shut). Kubrick died during the editing of Eyes Wide Shut and some items relating to the release/finished version were added by his staff. They have been included because they were held with the main collection, at the creator's home, following the pattern of what he kept and were deposited with the Archive.

The collection covers the film making process from pre until post production and includes: production paperwork [including pre and post production]; letters; props; costumes; publicity materials, both finished posters etc and drafts; production photographs. stills and slides; research paperwork and photographs; plans etc for how to film scenes; books; audiovisuals; drawings and artwork; equipment and press cuttings.

Printed topographical map made up of 7 separate sheets (one titled Mayence) glued together showing the border region of France and Germany with approximate centre on Homburg representing approximately 220 miles east-west and 250 miles north-south. The 1918 front line is hand drawn and coloured as are national borders. Enemy airfields housing bomber units are indicated by coloured markers. This map is complementary to JSCSC IF 2/2.

Mowat Collection (of Professor Charles Loch Mowat, 1911-c1969), comprising 2500 photographs in albums of railway scenes, 1926-1969 (mostly 1942-1969, with a few before 1924). These are mostly of small and medium sized railway stations (trains are generally incidental), covering most of the United Kingdom, with particular emphasis on the GWR and Wales, with coverage of Somerset and Dorset, Midland and South Western Junction, Lincolnshire, Midland Railway in the West Country, Great Eastern, Glasgow and Edinburgh Suburban, Bristol Suburban, Ireland, and narrow gauge lines in the UK such as Ffestiniog, Penrhyn, Bishop's Castle and Ditton's Prior. He also covered south east of Manchester in 1962, including the Hayfield, Macclesfield, Buxton (London North Western and Midland) and North Staffordshire lines. Various papers relating to the search for coal and oil in the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire area of the Midlands between 1900 and 1926, and the presence of oil in England more widely. They include maps, correspondence, reports, proofs of articles and publicity literature, legal documents, and newscuttings.

They mostly cover the period from 1911 to 1919, and relate to the discovery of oil in August 1911 at Kelham, Nottinghamshire, with one file covering a later peiod (1920s) and focusing on coal borings in Lincolnshire.

Two scrapbooks of documents, newspaper cuttings and photos collected by Sir Jethro Justinian Harris Teall and his wife Harriet, 1876-1926.

Many items relate to Teall's life, with events including his honorary degrees, lectures he gave, dinners he attended, and invitations to occasions such as the funeral of Edward VII and the coronation of George V. There is also a great deal of material relating to his younger son Frederick Teall, particularly his time in the Cambridge University Athletic Club and his subsequent career in the Egyptian civil service and participation in tennis tournaments in Cairo. There are a few items relating to Teall's wife, Harriet, and his elder son, George Teall, who was in the army.

The first volume mostly dates from Teall's time as director of the Geological Survey, while the second relates to the latter part of Teall's directorship of the Geological Survey and his subsequent retirement activities.
