Papers of Iris Murdoch, c 1980-1995, comprising correspondence addressed to Roly Cochrane from Murdoch including 138 letters and 59 cards and postcards, which demonstrate Murdoch's interest in someone with whom she became fond through correspondence alone. Within the letters Murdoch discusses her work, confiding in Cochrane, who continued to write to her during the onset of Alzheimer's disease. The collection contains a final note from John Bayley referring to her illness. The collection also contains a copy of Facing Reality, 1997, a work by Roly Cochrane.

The papers of author Wendy Perriam. This includes the working papers for all of her novels including idea notebooks, research, drafts, correspondence and notes on publicity. Letter from Frank Tenney of the American Academy in Rome, Porta S Pancarzio, Rome (29), Italy to Sir Herbert Warren, President of Magdalen College, Oxford, 1 Nov 1922. Thanking him for his generous letter, occasioned by the publication of and commenting on Frank's Vergil: a biography (1922). 'I have now settled down for a few months at the American Academy and shall have time to think about Vergil and repent the too hasty publication of that book'. Referring to 'our friend, Professor [W P] Mustard' [Professor of Latin at Johns Hopkins University and Frank's colleague], who drew his attention to Warren's Essays of Poetry and the Poets (1909).

The archive consists of two parts.

Part 1 consists of records collated during Billington-Grieg's membership of a large number of international women's organisations, associated correspondence, drafts of papers presented at conferences, as well as publications received from the organisations. In addition there are papers related to her unpublished biography of Charlotte Despard.

Billington Grieg was a keen suffrage historian, and her historical writings on suffrage (as well as papers reflecting her own suffrage activism) are represented in her archive.

Papers of Alice Christiana Gertrude Meynell, 1875-1878 and 1941, comprising correspondence; namely a letter from the poet Robert Browning (1812-1889) to Meynell thanking her for giving him a copy of her book Preludes and praising the beauty of many of its poems, 1878; a letter from Wilfrid Meynell to Albert Arthur Cock (1883-1953) apologising for being unable to accept an invitation to attend some lectures and making reference to 'hundreds of German planes on their way to London and other large countries', 1941. The letters had previously been enclosed within the book which was gifted by Cock to King's College London and is now kept in the Foyle Special Collections library.

Papers of George Bellas Greenough, 1794-1855, falling into three broad sections: papers connected with his work, personal papers, and correspondence. They are hierarchically divided into nine series: published works; societies of which Greenough was president; travels; fields of interest; learned and scientific institutions and clubs with which he was associated; personal history; papers relating to his friends; acquired papers; and correspondence, relating mainly to geology or to some other aspect of Greenough's work. Greenough kept many series of notebooks and memorandum books into which he copied the notes he had jotted down in conversation or when reading. The 'Personal History' section contains little biographical or family data, although Greenough's early efforts in poetry, prose and translation from the Greek are well represented, and there are papers relating to his house, his garden and his investments. There are few letters to his friends.
