The archive includes an arbitration in a dispute involving the parish of St. James Garlickhithe dated 1436, but the main archive dates from the 16th century with parish registers (baptisms, marriages, burials, banns, confirmations, preachers) surviving from 1535; churchwardens' accounts from 1555 and vestry minutes from 1615.
