Manuscript history of ancient armour with illustrations.

Annotated typescript essay by H Olaf Hodgkin and others entitled 'Malagasy folk-lore'.

The collection chiefly comprises material relating to the latter part of Hodgkin's life, the 1850s and 1860s, following his marriage to Sarah Frances Scaife. Included are items relevant to Hodgkin's marriage and personal life (his marriage certificate, letters to his wife, miscellaneous papers relating to him and his wife, papers related to the subsequent history of the Scaife family and a Hodgkin pedigree book); papers relating to Hodgkin's lobbying and philanthropic activities during the years of his marriage; and a memorandum on the relationship of religion and physiology, drafted during this late period of his life but based upon discussions with Samuel Tuke that took place in 1821, while Hodgkin was still a student.

Records of Lorna Holder and her fashion business including her final portfolio and photographs of her end of year fashion show for her graduation from Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham (1975); records of Ali Baba Trading Company, Oman (1976-1978) consist of photographs and film of the first televised fashion show in Oman, and correspondence and greeting cards; Davies & Field records include design sketches and portfolios containing sketches, textile samples and cuttings for female clothing during Lorna Holder's time as Head of Young Fashion (1979-1986).

Records of Full Spectrum Productions Limited consist of the project archive of Jamaica Hidden Histories (2012-2015) which document training, exhibition and events which had the aim to increase awareness of Jamaican presence in Britain. Included are some interviews with individuals of Jamaican heritage. This was the sixth project led by the company. Other projects and records of Full Spectrum Productions are not deposited.

2 postcards from George Jacob Holyoake of Eastern Lodge, Brighton to Edwin Ashworth, Todmorden Hall, Yorkshire, West Riding. (1) On the subject of portraits, 1 Feb [1897]. (2) 'Thank you for your pleasant birthday note. I have pleasant memories of Todmorden', 16 Apr 1901.

Both letters are autograph, with signatures.

The collection is comprised largely of material produced by contemporary and former students and staff of Hotham Road School in Putney, as part of various projects undertaken by the Hotham School Social History Group, the school itself and the PTA, to celebrate the history of the school. This includes correspondence, primarily from former pupils, providing their reminiscences of the school, and notes and drafts for publications about the school's history. The collection also includes other material generated by the school and by Hotham Adult Education Centre, such as photographs, examples of students' work, and promotional documents.

The collection contains photographs used to illustrate newspaper stories for the Hull Daily News about events in London. The photographs cover a range of subjects and have been organised thematically into 25 series, including: life in London during the Second World War and post-war reconstruction; transportation in London (including railways, roads, rivers and airports); churches; memorials and monuments; bridges; hotels; office buildings; foreign embassies; museums and art galleries; hospitals; sporting venues; markets; government buildings and theatres. There are also photographs showing particularly famous streets in London, photographs of palaces and royal residences in London, of the Tower of London, of Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column and photographs of the Palace of Westminster (including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Hall).

Manuscript volume containing a copy of an indenture ratifying and confirming the appointment of Thomas Neale to the office of Master and Worker of the Mint, 23 Jul 1686, with a table of the fees and salaries of the officers of the Royal Mint in the Tower of London. Thomas Neale was appointed Master and Worker of the Mint by King Charles II in 1678, and continued in office under King James II and King William III until about Jan 1699. His name appears on several medals of William III.

Papers, 1931-1958, of Robert Inkster, largely dating from the 1930s, mainly comprising correspondence with friends on subjects including Chinese affairs, Anglo-Chinese relations, the national and international political and economic situation, and the Chinese in Liverpool, including correspondence with General C Y Chang, 1931-1954. Other papers include a photograph of the United Committee for Christian Universities of China luncheon, 1937, and miscellaneous other papers, among them undated notes on China and the Chinese, including politics, language and customs, and a printed pamphlet on Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwain, 1958.
