Papers of the Bunhill Fields Burial Ground. The records comprise: interment order books and registers of burials, [1671]-1854; accounts, 1788-1854; and a volume concerning stones taken out, 1840-1854. There are also records of monumental inscriptions, 19th century, together with alphabetical index of surnames based on a tomb survey of 1972, with plans, 1973, which are useful for locating surviving monuments.

Records of the Greenhill family of the City of London, Middlesex, Surrey, Sussex and Oxfordshire, comprising deeds, legal papers, probate records and related items. They were catalogued by a member of Guildhall Library staff in 1977.

These records were compiled or annotated by Samuel Gregory in the mid-19th century. They comprise: the "Lord Mayor's autograph book" which contains the original signature of every Lord Mayor from 1657 to the present date; notes and cuttings relating to Lord Mayors, Chamberlains, Recorders and aldermen; history and notes relating to liverymen of the Barber Surgeons Company; drawings of merchants' marks; and miscellaneous manuscript and printed items compiled by Gregory.

These papers of the Hall family of Lincoln's Inn and elsewhere mostly comprise deeds of properties in London, Wales and Hertfordshire, but also include probate records and marriage settlements.

Records of William Herbert, comprising: topographical description of London, early 19th century; collections for a history of London monasteries, early 19th century; collections for histories of livery companies, c 1830; memoir of his life, c 1772-early 19th century; history of the Boar's Head Tavern in Eastcheap, early or mid 19th century; letters addressed to him, 1828-45; collection of antiquarian notes concerning the Priory and Church of St Bartholomew the Great, West Smithfield, c 1838-1845; and memorandum relating to parish boundaries, 1830. They were catalogued at various dates by members of Guildhall Library staff.

The records comprise: transcript of the apprentice bindings book of the Barber Surgeons' Company; collectanea towards the genealogy of the Hovenden family; extracts from the parish registers of All Hallows London Wall, St Magnus the Martyr, St Mary at Hill, St Margaret Moses, St Andrew Hubbard, St Mildred Bread Street and All Saints Edmonton; copies of mural tables and ledger stones of St Michael Queenhithe; and extracts from wills relating to Hackney.

Papers of Cedric Jagger, historian of horology, comprising research notes for Jagger's publication on Paul Philip Barraud; and correspondence relating to clocks and watches to and from Cedric Jagger, arranged alphabetically by correspondent (makers, academics and experts, collectors, dealers, writers and booksellers).

Records relating to City of London Prisons, comprising calendar of prisoners in Wood Street Compter and Poultry Compter, 1747; and affidavit concerning the removal of a prisoner from Wood Street Compter to the King's Bench Prison, 1691.

Records relating to Guildhall Library, comprising guides, catalogues and indexes to collections in the Library, including the Sun Insurance Office policy registers and City of London parish marriage licences.

Record of the Court of Wards and Liveries, comprising examinations of defendants in a court case concerning commodities in a court yard adjoining the Bull Head Tavern in Cheapside, October-November 1631.

Records of the Court of Exchequer, comprising Exchequer bill; roll of estreats of fines and forfeitures at the sessions of the peace for London and Middlesex; and record book relating to the King's revenue.

Record of the Court of Common Pleas, comprising a brief for the defendants in an action for impounding and ill-treating cattle coming to Smithfield Market. The case arose from numerous complaints about the nuisance caused in Smithfield and other streets in the city by cattle dealers driving cattle and sheep on Sunday evenings into Smithfield in order to get the best stands and pens.

Exemplification of proceedings in Chancery in the cause: the executors of the will of William Sherington, of Red Lion Square, Holborn versus Dame Mary Luckyn, widow and relict of Sir William Luckyn, of Messing Hall, Essex, and Richard Nicholls, contesting the will.

Collection of documents relating to courts and legal proceedings in London, including notes on jurisdiction and procedures; historical notes; reports on cases; briefs, case notes and proceedings; correspondence and financial accounts for various courts including the Court of Star Chamber, the Court of Exchequer, the Court of Chancery, the Court of King's Bench and Queen's Bench, and legal institutions such as Furnival's Inn, the King's Bench Prison, the Old Bailey and Marshalsea Prison.

Financial records of the Dean and Chapter of Saint Paul's Cathedral, London. Few financial records of the cathedral survive before the 16th century, when records of the Chamberlain and Receiver General appear with increased frequency (the two offices were combined in 1666).
