Log Book for the Girls School, 1863-1836.

Farringdon Within Ward Schools records comprising a register of sermons preached for the benefit of the children, and volume of accounts.

The collection consists of circulars issued by the Education Department of the London County Council and circulated to various Local Education Authorities as well as other memorandums and correspondence. The material concerns the possible and eventual evacuation of children and other vulnerable groups from London from 1939 until 1952. There is little information that is specific to Battersea, Wandsworth and individual schools, instead the material focuses on nationwide policies and initiatives. Most of the circulars seem to have been received by the Battersea Divisional Offices in St John's Hill.

Papers of Peter Cornall, 1954-1998, relating to all stages of his professional career, including talks, lectures and articles; internal administrative papers written for the schools in which he worked; materials written for circulation amongst colleagues and the wider world; and his own personal reflections. They reflect many of his personal educational interests including comprehensive education, curriculum development, internal school management, falling rolls, school headship, school self-evaluation, educational guidance, and value-added by schools. Also included is a report of a study visit made to the United States in 1963.

Records of the Commonwealth and Continental Church Society relating to administrative, fund-raising and other supporting activities in the United Kingdom, as well as the Society's work overseas. Most date from after the establishment of the united society in 1851, but from the earlier period one minute book of the Colonial Church Society survives, besides printed annual reports of both predecessor societies (see Mss 15673 and 15718). This collection contains City of London School for Girls administrative records (1895-2005), various printed material including school magazines (1890s-2006), visual material and artefacts including a large collection of photographs depicting pupils and staff (1890s-2004), records of societies connected to the school (such as Girl Guides and material of the City of London Old Girls' Association).

Records of particular interest are the Leaver's Service programmes which provide a fairly comprehensive list of pupils who attended the school. Also of interest are the prize giving programmes which are also useful for researching pupils and school magazines which provide detailed information on school activities, events and other developments.
