Medical log of the slave-ship LORD STANLEY, kept by Christopher Bowes the ship's surgeon between 23 March-26 July 1792. The ship traded between the African coast and the Isle of Grenada, West Indies. Of the 389 slaves on board, 16 died. The log gives the daily sick rate and there are brief notes of the cases and treatment.

At the end of the manuscript, Christopher Bowes states it is a "just and true journal" which he then presents to Custom House, at St George, Grenada in 1792. This is witnessed and signed by George Ferguson [Possibly George Ferguson, Governor of Tobago c1781]. The next page of the volume contains a statement signed by George Ferguson, saying that this is a "true copy of the original journal", and is dated September 5th 1792. Therefore it is likely that this manuscript is a copy of the original journal, which was perhaps retained in Grenada.

At the front of the volume is a letter to Arthur Bowes Elliot (grandson of Christopher Bowes) dated 5th October 1911, from Sir Ronald Ross (FRCS) 1857-1932, regarding the contents of the volume, and the diseases the slaves were suffering from.

Court registers record the date of the hearing, the name of the informant or complainant (often the police), the name of the defendant, a brief note of the offence and the decision of the magistrate.
Matrimonal cases: A married woman under the provisions of the Summary Jurisdiction (Married Women) Act 1895 and subsequent Acts could go to a magistrates' court and apply for orders which in certain circumstances would enable her to separate from her husband, have custody of any children and receive maintenance from him.

Handbill advertising for corpses for Edwin Brady's "Borough Museum", at the "Hole-in-the wall", formerly St George's Tavern, 204, High Street, Borough, Southwark. The bill refers to the crypt and rates of St George the Martyr, Southwark, c.1898-1901.

Records of the Borough Market Trustees, including a complete sets of minutes and financial records dating from the Market's reconstitution by Act of Parliament in 1755. There are many items concerning the market's property, including deeds and plans, and a good series of twentieth century correspondence illustrating many aspects of the administration of the Market. Personal papers of Hartley Booth, MP. The majority of the archive is concerned with Hartley Booth's parliamentary career. LMA/4021/01 relates to Booth's parliamentary responsibilities, in particular European affairs. In addition there are files containing correspondence and background material which relate to Private Members' Bills promoted by Booth. LMA/4021/01 also contains subject files on national issues that emanated from constituents' cases.

LMA/4021/02 contains constituents' correspondence and case files as well as subject files relating to local issues. LMA/4021/03 contains Conservative Party material and subject files which relate to the period when Booth was a prospective parliamentary candidate. These files relate to both local and national issues.

As the collection consists of parliamentary and constituency material, there is a closure period of 30 years. There is no closure period on the published material in LMA/4021/04.

Italian Book of Hours, c1470-1480, beginning Officium Beatae Mariae Virginis (office of the Blessed Virgin Mary). Originally 106(?) leaves, with 19th-century additions: full page colour illustrations and decorated borders, including a Crucifixion, added by Caleb W Wing.

Papers collected by the solicitors in the course of their work, comprising the marriage settlement and related documents of John Powell of Clapton House, Hackney, and his bride Frances Irby, daughter of Reverend Paul Irby of Cottisbrooke, Northants, 1850-1908; lease for 1 Lancaster Avenue, Enfield, 1909, and agreement of Randal, Earl of Berkeley to sell part of the Cranford Park Estate in Cranford, Harlington and Hayes, 1931.

Amongst the ephemera are printed books and pamphlets, including several on various campaigns throughout World War Two, published by the Ministry of Information.

Notes on Herman Boerhaave's lectures and material extracted from his publications, with some material by others, 18th century.

The records chart the transfer of property within the family through the generations, beginning with a copy of the manorial court roll showing the acquisition of a cottage in Pinner Street, Harrow, by Mary Bodymaid {sic} in 1699 {ACC/0945/001}. In 1710 William Bodymead acquired cottages on Clay Hill, in the Manor of Bushey; which by his will of 1738 were divided between his three youngest sons {ACC/0945/003}. The rest of the estate passed to William's widow and to his eldest son, also called William. This William Bodimead was contemplating a partnership with his eldest John in 1767, which gave rise to the 'Rest Book or Inventory' {ACC/0945/014}, which is quite extensively detailed. Also worth noting is the inventory from 1789, covering the goods and chattels of the deceased Ann Bodymeade, who was presumably the widow and mother of the aforementioned William and John. The latest records are two letters from 1966 from Philip Blackwell to Miss A.M. Pollard (reference librarian in the London Borough of Harrow at that time) offering background on these papers which had belonged to his grandfather.
