Correspondence, diaries and other papers of Sir Alfred Charles Glyn Egerton, including some personal papers but largely relating to The Royal Society and particularly to wartime activities and post-war research needs in Britain. The diaries form an almost complete record of Egerton's career during the period 1943-1959. Earlier diaries date back to 1917 and the period 1929-1930, but for the most part they relate to the period 1938-1941.

The correspondence, papers and diaries of Sir Charles Blagden. Blagden's papers are interesting on several levels, generally for his close contact with European men of learning, and his relationship with Sir Joseph Banks. Blagden's professional researches are represented by medical notes in the boxed sequence. These are grouped with papers on other subject interests, including linguistics, e.g. a draft Tahitian-English dictionary, compiled from conversations with Omai, whom Blagden inoculated after Omai's voyage to England with James Cook. Blagden's interest in antiquities and travel is documented by diary entries, as is his intercourse with fellow scientists, particularly those associated with the founding of the Royal Institution.

Dulwich Hospital case notes, consisting of out-patient case notes, 1947-1951, for a named patient suffering from Addison's disease, who was treated at various hospitals and clinics.

Dr Freedman's research papers for the opening historical talk at a symposium held to mark Dulwich Hospital's centenary celebration in 1985. Includes correspondence; drafts and text of final version of the talk; plans of the hospital; some 1940s and 1950s electrocardiograms (ECGs) 'on Eindovers string galvanometer' [possibly made at Dulwich Hospital], and programmes for the opening of the operating theatre suite, 1958 and the opening of a new ward in the renal unit, [mid 1980s]. The records of the King's College London Institute of Psychiatry Camberwell Register comprise record and index cards of psychiatric patients, data collection parameters and instruction literature, and related notes and correspondence, [1965-1985]. Half the collection in volume terms consists of record cards of patients containing personal information, dates and details of admission, diagnosis and treatment, with some background comments (boxes 1-31). These are arranged in a numerical sequence that correlates roughly to the date upon which a new patient entered the study. The vast majority of these date from the 1970s. An alphabetical index card system and index book are available to trace the names of individual patients (boxes 32-43). The remainder of the collection (boxes 44-74) comprises questionnaires of some psychiatric patients engaged in the study [1964-1985]; Umatic and VHS video tapes of interviews with psychiatric patients and sufferers of depression, with some interviews with triplet children, 1979-1992; copies of the death certificates of psychiatric patients in the study, [1975-1995]; notes, correspondence, user manuals and trial information relating to the collection of data in the project, including computer databases and user manuals of programs associated with the Register, [1964-1985]; yearly progress reports of the project, 1964-1968; census and population statistics of the Camberwell study area, including street names and indexes, [1964-1985]; data and published material on similar epidemiological studies, principally at Worcester and Cardiff, 1970-1985; secondary literature on the methodology of case registers, 1968-1981.

Papers of Edwin Child, 1866-1871, notably relating to his experiences during the Siege of Paris, Franco-Prussian War, Sep 1870-Jan 1871, comprising diaries, 1866-1871, containing daily entries recording events and often weather, part of which is written on copies of Lettre-Journal de Paris: Gazette des Absents, 1870; letters (as balloon post) to his family and 'Mary-Ann', describing conditions under the siege, 1870-1871; papers relating to his service in the Garde Nationale de la Seine, 1870-1871, including record of service, testimonial, passes for safe-conduct, identity papers and bread ration coupons; photographs of Child and of scenes of the Franco-Prussian War; printed journals and books comprising French publications largely relating to the siege, 1870-1871.

Autograph book belonging to Arthur Leonard Moss, inscribed June 8 1905; comprises photographs, signatures and messages from students of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science at King's College London.

Handwritten messages within the book, are all dated between 1905-1907 and vary in style but include messages of goodwill from friends, notably one enclosing a dried plant stem intended as a charm; poems; sketches and quotations from famous poets.

Papers of William James Entwistle collection, [1945-1947] comprising correspondence to and from Entwistle regarding the Chronicle of John I of Portugal and also includes a draft edition of the first 136 chapters,[1945-1947].

The correspondence section notably includes a letter, in Portuguese script, from Florentino dos Santos Cardoso, of Évora Public Library, to William James Entwistle, 1945, concerning the Chronica de El Rei D. João I by Fernão Lopes and a reproduction made and held by the Évora Public Library. Florentino dos Santos Cardoso asks Entwistle whether he would interetsed in purchasing a complete reproduction. Correspondence also includes a letter from Entwistle to Edgar Prestage (1881-1949), regarding the printing of the final chapters of Chronicle of John I of Portugal, 1945; letter from Entwistle to Prestage regarding the progress of the printing of a complete copy of Chronicle of John I of Portugal, suggesting the proofs are the 'pre first edition of book which will never appear', 1947.

The collection also includes a copy of the unpublished text of Chronicle of John I of Portugal [1945-1946], written by Fernão Lopes 1380-1459.
