This series of minute books comprises one of the most important sources of evidence of the strategic and academic development within the Polytechnic and College from the earliest subscription campaign for the new Institute to the closure of Chelsea when it merged with King's in 1985. The papers of Professor Anthony Guest consisting of minutes and correspondence, notably relating to a working party on Religious Studies at King's College London, set up to consider the future of the discipline, and of which Professor Guest was chairman, 1976-1977.

The records of the Registry at Queen Elizabeth College, 1968-1987, are comprised of committee files and working papers on the academic work of the College, notably including various notes and papers of the Academic Board and committees including the Biological Services Committee and Publicity Committee, working parties and reports on numerous issues such as first year teaching, regulations, fees, statutes, examinations, accommodation and intercollegiate courses, and on aspects of strategic development, notably the Swinnerton-Dyer Report on Higher Education and on the merger with King's College London in 1985 (Ref: 1989/QAR); notes on student numbers, teaching loads and statistics on constituent courses, 1971-1985 (Ref: 1995/QAR).

The papers of Sidney Wooldridge comprise correspondence, lecture texts, a bibliography and photographs, 1921-1965, most notably correspondence concerned with the development of the Department and the Joint School of Geography set up between King's and the London School of Economics, including the move of Geology to Royal Holloway College, 1921-1985; typescript lecture text by Wooldridge entitled 'The Trend of Geomorphology', 1958; bibliography of Wooldridge's work, 1964; correspondence relating to the establishment of a memorial fund in honour of Wooldridge, 1963-1965; photographs of field trips, 1954; order of service for the funeral of Sidney Wooldridge.
