Plans and drawings for the proposed redevelopment of the area of Paddington north of the Great Western Railway and south of the Grand Junction Canal and dissected by the Harrow Road. The proposals are for replacement of narrow congested streets and small houses with a dual carriage speedway and blocks of flats with open ground in-between them.

Records of The Pyrites Company Limited have also been catalogued. These records include board minutes, directors' attendance books, register of directors' holdings, papers relating to The Pyrites Company Incorporated, register of members and share ledger, ledgers, accounts, agreements and contracts to supply pyrites, photographs of Wilmington Plant, and staff books.

Almost all papers relate to George Meering's experience in World War One. They comprise typewritten contemporary accounts of his war experience and as prisoner held by the Turkish, correspondence (including letter from General Edmund Allenby), newspaper articles, photographs of regiment and nurses, dinner invitation, medals and other memorabilia.

Records of Westways Greetings including sale catalogues and unused greeting cards published by Lip Productions Limited, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America and imported by Westways Greetings for sale in the United Kingdom. The cards depict gay and Christmas themes mainly marketed to the gay and lesbian community. Some of the cards depict Black people / people of African descent and other ethnic origin.

No administrative records of the firm are known to survive.

This collection was catalogued by Ros Hamner, volunteer, as part of Speakout London project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, supervised by Sally Bevan and Richard Wiltshire, Senior Archivists.

Plans of the New University Club, St James's Street, by Richardson and Gill, architects. While the plans are not dated, it is possible to estimate that they were produced between 1906 and 1938 as the architectural partnership of Richardson and Gill were in operation between these dates.

Specification of Works to be contracted for in Building the Conservative Club House in St. James Street, May 1843, formed of 20 large parchment membranes taped together.

The Specification commences with 74 articles dealing with the structure, the site, and general conditions for the performance of the work; these fill rather more than five membranes. The rest of the Specification is headed "Description of inside Work and Finishings" and deals with the interior of the intended building, room by room, and staircases, passages, etc. There are ten small marginal drawings of mouldings, fitments, etc.

The place of Lord Boston and Viscount Castlereagh and W. Ormsby Gore, as Conservative peers and Conservative M.P. respectively, is obvious. The function of John Minet Fector in this transaction is as yet unascertained; he was a collateral descendant of the well-known Minet family. The two Bakers doubtless represent the firm of George Baker and Son, builders, of Palace New Road, Lambeth.

A themed microfiche collection relating to material produced by the Historical Detachments of the US Army during the Korean War, 1950-1953. The scope and content of the interviews and studies therein was influenced by the nature of the conflict and by the types of units employed in combat. Despite the involvement of United Nations forces and the US Marine Corps, all units interviewed by the Historical Detachments were from the US Army. The two primary components of this collection are 'After-Action Reports' and 'Studies'. 'After-Action Reports' include accounts of combat-related activities of specific units during a campaign, engagement, or operation. They focus on the role or scope of action of particular units for a given period of time at a specific location, and consist of a narrative account of the action, combat interviews, and supplementary materials, including manuscript and printed maps, charts, and photographs. 'Studies' were prepared by the Historical Detachments to provide insight into unit strengths or deficiencies or problems in fundamental strategic and tactical matters, including the use of new weapons, techniques for supply and support, and fighting behaviour.
