The Royal Albert Hall Archive collects, preserves, and provides access to historical collections which document the venue’s evolution from the 19th century to the present. From the Suffragettes to Lady Gaga – our archive collections contain endless stories on a wide variety of topics including sport, politics, fashion, religion, commemoration and of course, music.
Housed in the Archive is the largest concert hall collection in the world, home to an internationally significant assortment of documents, artworks and objects. The two main collections are the event collection and the building and institutional collection. In addition, the archive cares for an extensive art collection and smaller complementary collections.
