The Bath Sun Fire Office was established in 1776 and acquired by the Sun Insurance Office in 1838.
This single surviving volume was deposited in the Manuscripts Section of Guildhall Library by Sun Alliance in 1979 and catalogued shortly afterwards by a member of Guildhall Library staff. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
Records of the Bath Sun Fire Office comprising Directors' meeting minute book, also used as an out-letter book.
