Latin. Gothic minuscule hand.
Parchment manuscript in 19th-century binding of oak boards and red calf with brass clasps. One hand throughout. Probably written in Spain. The folios are numbered by a modern hand at the bottom of each one. The text has been written continuously in two columns. The heading of each folio is in red. Initial letters of words throughout the text are crossed through vertically in red. Small initials are alternately in red, flourished with blue, and vice versa. Sixty-nine larger initials (beginning text of Bible books and arguments) contain fine miniatures on a blue background. The top of each folio bears the name of the Bible book in alternate blue and red letters. Portions of several of the folios have been cut away, obviously bearing miniatures. 38cm.
