The British Linen Company was incorporated by Royal Charter on 5 Jul 1746, 'to do everything that may conduce to the promoting and carrying on' the manufacture of linen.

Part of the Goldsmith's Library of Economic Literature, collected by Herbert Somerton Foxwell and presented by the Goldsmith's Company to the University of London in 1903.

Manuscript volume containing a contemporary copy of the charter of the British Linen Company, dated 5 Jul 1746.
