The Association was founded in 1911, but further details of its historical background, or that of Osteopathic Trusts Ltd., is not known.

Given by the British Osteopathic Association to the Wellcome Library via the British Records Association in April 1993 (BRA ref 2549).

Minutes of the British Osteopathic Association Council, 1928-1950, and of Osteopathic Trusts Ltd, 1938-1961.

The whereabouts of earlier and later minutes is not known.

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
