Manuscript volume written by Edward Burnell entitled 'Epitome ecclesiastice historie Nicephori calisti'. The Epitome, in its imperfect state, extends as far as the time of Justinian, Emperor of the East. The manuscript is illustrated throughout with many marginal pen-drawings of the persons and events dealt with. At the head of the title-page is an inaccurate attempt to reproduce the arms of Philip and Mary, King and Queen of England.
