The collection had been amalgamated into the College Collection but has been re-assigned as a distinct collection due to the basis of the collection being a like creator. The original creator of the collection, Wakefield High School for Girls, donated the collection to the College Library to include as part of the Library's ephemera collections. Through its ephemera collections, the Library aimed to demonstrate examples of design.
