Corney and Barrow Limited, wine and brandy merchants, successively of 65, and 6 Gresham House, Old Broad Street. The company was known in 1799 as Corney and Cowell. It underwent several changes of name until 1838, when the name Corney and Barrow was adopted.

George Nicholas and Son were wine merchants of 27A Old Broad Street.

William Coates established as a wine merchant in the City, ca.1800. By 1808 he was trading from 1 New Court, St Swithin's Lane, and by 1815 from 26 Bucklersbury. In about 1825 he moved his premises out to 25 High Street Whitechapel. In the 1839 directory the firm is listed as Coates and Liston, reverting to William Coates & Company in 1840. The firm was subsequently based at 109 Old Broad Street and 45 London Wall.

Williams and Day, a firm of wine and spirit merchants, traded under that name until 1826 when it became John Day, and then successively J. Day, Watson and Son (c 1845), Day, Watson, Son and Watney (1898), and Lister and Beck and Day, Watson, Son and Watney (1914). The firm was taken over c 1933 by Messrs Corney and Barrow. Williams and Day and its successors had premises in Fowkes Buildings, Tower Street (1814-1818); Water Lane, Tower Street (1819-1912); 25 Laurence Pountney Lane (1913-1921), 22 Tower Hill (1922-1932) and 6 Gresham House, Old Broad Street (from 1933).

The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.

The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
