Biographical history
Cricklewood Synagogue was first established in a private house on Walm Lane, used for worship from 1928. It was initially known as the Willesden Green and Cricklewood Hebrew Congregation. In 1931 a synagogue was constructed next door to the house, and was admitted as a Constituent member of the United Synagogue in the same year, changing its name to Cricklewood Synagogue. In 1989 the main synagogue building was sold and the congregation moved into a smaller hall. The Synagogue was closed in 2005.

Deposited as part of a larger accession of material from the United Synagogue. The minutes (item 1) forms part of the original deposit, while the other records are part of additional deposits made in 2005 and 2008.

Material in more recent deposits included Board of Management minute books, committee minutes; administrative papers relating to membership, marriages, finances, officers, elections and the management of the synagogue; income and expenditure account books; cash books; petty cash books; marriage registers; lists and registers of members; newsletters and other printed items; and photographs.
