Thomas D'Aeth senior (d 1708) and Thomas D'Aeth junior (d 1744), were Italian merchants, of the parish of St Dionis Backchurch.
The letter book was given to Guildhall Library in 1956 through the auspices of the British Records Association. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
