Manuscript notebook entitled 'Anthropology' by Elphinstone Dayrell based on his observations of the people of Ikom, Nigeria, comprising notes on Nsibidi signs and their meanings; notes on the months and seasons of the year; notes on the social conditions of the Ikom people; vocabularies translated into nine different Nigerian languages, including inserts of published vocabularies; notes on 'Nyam Innerra' 'cats cradle' and notes on the 'incest tabu'; also encloses several published articles on related themes. Notebook completed, 20 May 1911.
