These papers were collected for their general or antiquarian interest, rather than having a united provenance (that is, being produced by the same institution or business).
Records from the Dew collection deposited in the London County Record Office and later in the Greater London Record Office, 1 January and 11 March 1954, and 29 January 1969.
Collection of legal documents, wills, bonds, business arrangements, and title deeds for premises in Spitalfields, Limehouse, Holborn, Westminster, Hackney, Stepney, Lincoln's Inn, Bermondsey and Saint Marylebone.
Some of the deeds and papers in this collection are clearly related and these have been grouped together with the apparently unrelated items following. It is just possible however that some of the latter may have been linked with the former, and each other. The groups are listed below under the name of the person from whom they appear to derive:-

Q/DEW/6 - 12 William Butler;
Q/DEW/13 - 15 Elizabeth Huet/Hewet;
