Douglas was educated at Dulwich College and ordained in 1894 at Newark. He undertook many positions within the Anglican Church and was Rector of St Michael Paternoster Royal, 1933-53. Alongside his ecclesiastic commitments, Douglas also took several senior positions with the University of London and was Chairman of Convocation in 1939. He published several books, mostly on aspects of the Eastern Orthodox Church. He died in 1956.

Subjects include the resignation of Lord Beauchamp as Chancellor of the University of London, election of Lord Athlone as Chancellor of the University of London, photograph of the centenary banquet for the University of London, correspondence with members of Convocation.

Open for research although at least a working day's notice should be given. Access to some files within archive collections may be restricted under the Freedom of Information Act. Please contact the University Archivist for details.

Copies may be made, subject to the condition of the original. Copying must be undertaken by the Palaeography Room staff, who will need a minimum of 24 hours to process requests.
