Army, Navy and General Assurance Association Limited was founded in 1901 as Army and General Assurance Association. The name was changed in 1904. It offered general insurance for servicemen in the United Kingdom and India. It was acquired by Navigators and General in 1945, which in turn became wholly owned by Eagle Star in 1960.
