The Friendly Society of Tradesmen met at the Belle Sauvage, Ludgate Hill and appears to have met only for betting and social purposes; it was not a "benevolent" friendly society.

These records were donated to Guildhall Library in 1898 and were catalogued in the same year by a member of Guildhall Library staff. The Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section merged with the London Metropolitan Archives in 2009.
