Acquired in two batches. MS.5421 comprises material acquired with the papers of George Grey Turner, c. 1953. (acc.347626). MS.5422 comprises material deposited by Mrs Grey Turner, 1986 (acc.347627).

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.

The papers of Sir George Grey Turner himself are held as PP/GGT; letters by him are found at MS.7780/13-15 and in the papers of Charles Firmin Cuthbert (MSS.1982-1997). An inventory of Turner's personalia is found in the Wellcome Archives at WA/HMM/CM/Col/99. In other repositories: Negatives of a 16mm film 'Construction of a new oesophagus' [1933] were handed over to the British Medical Association Film Library.
