Acquired in two batches. MS.5421 comprises material acquired with the papers of George Grey Turner, c. 1953. (acc.347626). MS.5422 comprises material deposited by Mrs Grey Turner, 1986 (acc.347627).
Autograph letters and documents collected by George Grey Turner, 1647-1924. Details of the writers included can be found in the descriptions of the individual manuscripts.
The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.

In the Wellcome Library: Further material from the George Grey Turner autograph collection can be found as MS.5423 (letters to Ernest Abraham Hart, 1835-1898, medical journalist). The papers of Sir George Grey Turner himself are held as PP/GGT; letters by him are found at MS.7780/13-15 and in the papers of Charles Firmin Cuthbert (MSS.1982-1997). An inventory of Turner's personalia is found in the Wellcome Archives at WA/HMM/CM/Col/99. In other repositories: Negatives of a 16mm film 'Construction of a new oesophagus' [1933] were handed over to the British Medical Association Film Library.
