It has not been possible to ascertain full details of the provenance of this collection, which was transferred to the Contemporary Medical Archives Centre from the Western Manuscripts Section of the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine in October 1980. It was apparently received from University College London in 1976, but from whom, and how the papers came to be there, is not known.
Correspondence on the enzyme phosphotase, 1932; correspondence, notes, lists, pamphlets etc re talks to forces (general and on first aid) during Second World War; anatomical and physiological information supplied to RAF; personal correspondence, 1940-1945.

The papers are available subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.
