Historique
An office in Colombo was opened in 1895 under the style Crosfield, Lampard and Company (see CLC/B/112-039; Mss 37447-55). From 1908/9 this office functioned as a branch of Harrisons and Crosfield Limited. In 1913 the Australasian interests of the Colombo and Calcutta branches were amalgamated with the business of Eastern Export Proprietary Ltd to form Harrisons and Eastern Export Ltd (see CLC/B/112-076; Mss 37635-41).
