Hither Green Wesleyan Methodist Church stood in the angle of Wellmeadow Road and Hither Green Lane, Lewisham. It was built in 1900 by architects Gordon, Lowther and Gunton, but was destroyed by bombing in 1940. A new church was built on Torridon Road. It is part of the Blackheath and Lewisham Methodist Circuit.

Records of Hither Green Methodist Church, 1901-1970, including minutes and other administrative papers; souvenir programmes of entertainments and events such as bazaars; correspondence addressed to Mrs H N Beecher Bryant, particularly from Doctor John Scott Lidgett, Methodist theologian and founder of the Bermondsey Settlement; and photographs of church events, clergy, members of the church and the interior and exterior of the church building.

Administrative material has been listed first, followed by papers and correspondence, and finally the photographs. Material has been arranged chronologically where possible.
