Munich 1938 is a documentary produced by Brook Lapping Associates.

Taped interviews and transcripts of interviews with figures involved in the Munich Agreement of 1938, made in preparation for the making of a 90-minute documentary, Munich 1938, produced by Brian Lapping Associates Ltd. The collection also contains production notes and correspondence with the interviewees over their involvement in the programme. The main issues covered by the interviews are the politics surrounding the actual signing of the agreement and the British policy of appeasement, ethnic relations between Czech and German Citizens in the Sudetenland and the nature of Nazi Germany's foreign policy after 1933.
The Collection is divided into three sections.
- Filmed interview transcripts with all the figures interviewed in the production of the documentary;
2: Master filmed transcripts with all interviewees, sorted by the nationality of those interviewed; - Production material relating to the making of the documentary, includes schedules for Interviews, correspondence with interviewees, interview questions and biographical information. Each file refers to the nationality of the interviewees.
Mainly open; some items closed.
Most items can be photocopied, subject to handling and copyright restrictions. No material may be published without the prior permission of both the copyright holder and the Library. All applications for publication must be made to the Archivist in the first instance, but responsibility for ensuring copyright clearance rests with the user.
