Records of the church of Saint Mary the Virgin, Twickenham. This collection includes the parish registers of baptisms, marriages and burials (1538 - 1960); Churchwardens' accounts (1605/6 - 1848); Vestry meeting minute books (1618 - 1901) and Overseers' of the Poor accounts (1663 - 1679). Of particular note are: the Book of Briefs (1708 - 1760), which also includes a list of bonds, surrender certificates and indentures (DRO/174/B/02/001) and the survey of land-holding or real estates in the parish, made in 1661, which appears in the Churchwardens' account book (DRO/174/B/01/003).

Records of the Church of Saint Benet Fink, Tottenham include registers of baptisms (1912-1955) and marriages (1913-1982).

Records of the Diocese of Southwark, 1742-2000. The collection relates to the area of London covered by the Diocese of Southwark south of the River Thames, dating mainly from 1905. It provides a wealth of information on church architecture and fixtures, sources for marriages and clergy (of particular use for family history), and the morals and conduct of clergy and their parishioners. Some records date from when parishes were under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Winchester (before 1877) and the Diocese of Rochester (1877-1904).

The records of Southwark Diocesan Regsistry include the following: grants of faculties relating to church buildings and fittings with a large number of coloured drawings and plans of churches, monuments, stained glass designs and other fittings (1905-2000); consecration and dedication papers including petitions and plans relating to new churches and burial grounds (1905-1976); ordinations and appointments of clergy (1878-1974); records relating to marriages including lists of marriage licences granted to couples intending to marry in churches within the Diocese of Rochester and Southwark (1877-1910, 1940-1958) and marriage warrants and affidavits recording the declarations made by parties intending to marry by licence (1905-1974).

Also records relating to visitations, the process by which the bishop maintained faith and discipline and corrected clerical and lay abuses, including lists of churchwardens (1924-1956), visitation returns (1907-1956) and presentment reports submitted by churchwardens on the state of church buildings and the conduct of clergy and parishioners in the parish (1905-1974).

The collection also contains minutes and property deeds from the Rochester and Southwark Diocesan Church Trust (1817-1966) relating to the College of Saint Saviour, Saint Olave, Southwark and All Saints, North Peckham, including correspondence relating to the removal of remains from the Flemish Burial Ground, adjacent to Saint Olave in 1842 (reference DS/CT); and minutes and related papers of Rural Deaneries of Dulwich, and Newington and Southwark (1869-1990) (reference DS/DRD).

Records of the Diocese of Winchester, 1480-1936. The archive collections relate mainly to parishes in the ancient county of Surrey, now in the dioceses of Guildford and Southwark and include: the records of the Archdeaconry of Surrey which had jurisdiction over the parishes in the ancient county of Surrey excluding 13 peculiars (administrative areas outside the jurisdiction of the bishop), including Bishop's Transcripts for parishes in the archdeaconry, the issue of licences including marriage bonds and allegations and clergy's licences, registry material, church consecrations and dedications, dissenters' meeting house certificates, and terriers of church property in each parish.

Also the records of the Archdeaconry Court of Surrey, consisting of court probate material including wills; the records of the Commissary Court of Surrey, including the bishop's commissary court probate records including wills and cause papers in court proceedings; and a small collection of office papers of the Archdeaconry of Winchester relating to parishes in Hampshire.

Records of Bovril Limited, 1797-1959, comprising leases, mortgages, conveyances and other legal documents relating to the ownership of premises on Old Street, Bunhill Row and Banner Street, Finsbury, Islington and Farringdon Street, City of London.

Papers relating to the estates of the 4th Marquess of Salisbury comprising documents relating to property transfer, such as conveyances, mortgages, valuations, leases and abstracts of title. The properties mentioned are primarily in the St James's Park area, Westminster.

Records relating to the Calthorpe family estates, including mortgages, conveyances, insurance policies, tax redemption certificates, and letters. The estate included premises in Grays Inn Road, City Road, Gough Square, Chelsea, Fleet Street and in Norfolk.

This collection comprises records of the William Cotton Estate (later the Bow Common Estate) and documents the acquisition and running of the Cotton estate from [1714]- 1936.. The records include marriage settlements, trustee appointments, wills and probates, legal case papers, administrative papers for the Limehouse estate, papers relating to property transactions, registers of properties, plans and maps, catalogue of wines for auction and register of leases. Some of the material concerns the Bow Common Estate Company Ltd.

Records of Gerald Kremenstein, including committee and related records of the Harrow and Brent Lesbian and Gay Group collected by Gerald Kay as Committee member, and event material, the earliest items from 1971. These include flyers, tickets, badges and membership cards for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) London-based clubs, events and groups which Gerald Kay attended. Highlights include papers relating to the Jewish Gay and Lesbian Group (JGLG) and St Katharine's Group, and a visit to United States of America.

These records were catalogued under supervision of Richard Wiltshire, Senior Archivist by Zaida Tavares, volunteer as part of the Speakout London - Diversity City project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and based at London Metropolitan Archives.

Records of Kol Chai Hatch End Jewish Community including minutes and administrative papers, finance, papers relating to the synagogue building, membership, services, religious education, events and visits; also a run of Koleinu, the Kol Chai magazine, other Kol Chai publications, printed material and photographs.

Records of Witherby and Co Ltd including Partners deeds, memorandum and articles of association, minutes, acquisition and policy papers, accounts, ledgers, journals, 'precedent' books (specimen forms), staff salaries, photographs, annual outing booklets, premises deeds, rentals, plans, inventories, printed material, history research including Witherby family papers and memoirs.

There are also records of subsidaries including H. F. & G. Witherby publishers of 'British Birds' , Electric Law Press Limited, Greaves Pass & Company and Drake, Driver and Leaver Limited (subsidiaries).

A highlight is the precedent books containing pro forma specimen court documents and forms written in Thomas Witherby's hand and intended for the guidance of his staff of law writers.
