The typewritten paper includes hand written corrections made by Murdoch and discusses the 'mental event', 'the concept of the mind' and other philosophical ideas. The paper was later collated in the volume of Murdoch's essays on philosophical subjects, Existentialists and Mystics: Writings on Literature and Philosophy.

Within the letters Murdoch discusses her work, confiding in Cochrane, who continued to write to her during the onset of Alzheimer's disease. The collection contains a final note from John Bayley referring to her illness. The collection also contains a copy of Facing Reality, 1997, a work by Roly Cochrane.

The collection also contains production notes and correspondence with the interviewees over their involvement in the programme. The main issues covered by the interviews are the politics surrounding the actual signing of the agreement and the British policy of appeasement, ethnic relations between Czech and German Citizens in the Sudetenland and the nature of Nazi Germany's foreign policy after 1933.

Papers of Josef Mueller, 1960s, came about as a result of research into the events that took place in Plaszow concentration camp, in particular the crimes and testimony of Josef Mueller, one of the former commandants. The papers consist of the trial judgement, a transcript of his interrogation and various statements in the case against Mueller. There are also numerous statements from Mueller, acting as a witness in the trials of other defendants. All of the records are copies from the main repository for war crimes trials records at Ludwigsburg. Many of the names refererred to in the records have been deleted for reasons of data protection.

Records of London County Council midwife Agnes Morris. These registers, printed by the London County Council Public Health Department, include the name, address and age of the mother, the date and hour of the child's birth, its sex and whether it was a live or dead birth, with other information about the attendances of the midwife and other doctors or nurses and remarks of a medical nature of the birth. With few exceptions the mothers concerned lived in Peckham until 1952. From 1953 to 1956 the cases were in Balham and Tooting and from 1956 to 1957 in Woolwich.

The volumes are closed under the Data Protection Act. Volume 1 will be open from 2015; volume 2 from 2018 and volume 3 from 2023. Please ask a member of staff for more information.
