Materials used by Dorothy Glynn in her educational work, comprising 45 colour slides of classroom and other activities in primary schools, [1955-1965].

Photographic colour slide transparencies depicting social change and zones of transition in London's built landscape, taken for teaching purposes. Mainly depict 18th, 19th and 20th century domestic buildings taken from street level. The slides show Hampstead Garden Suburb, Westminster, Islington, Highgate, Camden, Bermondsey, Southwark, Whitechapel, Battersea, Camberwell and Pentonville.

This series of photographs were taken in the 1950s - 1970s of exteriors of London buildings. They cover the areas of Camden, City of London, Hackney, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Westminster. They show views of various buildings, including the Whitechapel Post Office before, during and after demolition; Mann, Crossman and Paulin Ltd Brewers, Bethnal Green; Stepney Green and Whitechapel Stations along with many panoramic shots. The photographs were taken by Hester Mallin and colleagues.

This collection consists of photographs showing a non-National Trust property, 10 South Grove, Highgate, in 1957.

Records of the Polytechnic Harriers, cross country running and athletics club. The collection comprises records relating to the administration of the club as well as scrapbooks, photographs and publications. These highlight the club's achievements and also reveal the tireless work of individuals that was necessary to run such a successful club and especially annual events such as the "Poly Marathon" and "The Kinniard Trophy". In addition to this they provide an interesting insight into how athletics has developed over the last one hundred years.

Records of the organisation known variously as the Polytechnic Sports Club, the The Institute of the Polytechnic Sports and Social Clubs, and The Polytechnic Sports Club Committee, as well as records of the Polytechnic's Men's and Women's Council, and Joint Council.

This collection includes all records relating to the organisation of sports and social activities by members of the Polytechnic except for records of the individual clubs themselves, which are catalogued as separate collections. However it does include correspondence with the clubs by the Secretary and Committees. The Guildhall Library Prints and Maps collection is a diverse collection of graphic material relating to the City of London and surrounding areas, 1553-2008; including prints, sketches, drawings, engravings, etchings, panoramas, photographs and lantern slides of various subjects including streets and buildings, Second World War bomb damage, churches, people, City of London Corporation personnel and events including the Lord Mayor, statues and memorials, the Thames, and markets. Also maps, plans and surveys of London and surrounding counties, London streets, parish boundaries, railways, tramways, and sewers. With a collection of ephemeral items including posters, bills, cuttings, printed menus, invitations, exhibition ephemera, playing cards, trade cards, booksellers' labels, satires, and theatre playbills and programmes.

The collection was assembled and annotated by Leslie Henry. The items mostly relate to Joseph Stacey, but a few concern Henry. The largest group is of photographs, with a few cuttings, relating to the evacuation of Regent Street Polytechnic School of Hairdressing to Winscombe in Somerset from 1939-1942; a few letters, photographs and cuttings relating to the careers of Stacey and Henry, 1938-1975.
