Manuscript volume, 13th century: Vitae Sanctorum et Sermones, containing saints' lives, notes on festivals, and sermons for saints' days.

Contains the following items: ff 1-7, 118-119: 'Divine Paradoxes or seeminge Contradictions in Christianitye'; 1644 ff 10-114: 'Sermons concerning the necessity and manner of divine invocation: wherein is taught how our Prayers may be made acceptable unto God, comfortable to our selves', 1626.

Manuscript volume, 12th century, comprising a collection of sermons and other liturgical texts.

Manuscript volume containing a collection of treatises and sermons on the Blessed Virgin Mary, dating from the mid-fifteenth century, and comprising a treatise beginning 'Caritatis radix flos et fructus est eternitatis fundamentum'; Speculum Beatae Mariae Virginis by Conrad of Saxony; a sermon by Saint Augustine of Hippo on the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary; a homily by Saint Anselm on the Feast of the Assumption; a sermon by Saint Augustine of Hippo for the Feast of Assumption; a note on the seven privileges of the Blessed Virgin Mary (possibly taken from the Speculum Beatae Mariae Virginis); and an incomplete copy of a sermon by Saint Ambrose on the Virgin Mary. The manuscript was written by various scribes in a mixture of book-hand and business-hand, probably in Germany.

Two manuscript volumes, 1645-1649, comprising sermons written by an unidentified preacher. Volume 1 includes a sermon for the confirmation of the 'Baron of Ossery, son and heire to the most honorable the Lo. Marquess or Ormond L. Lewetenant of Ireland' in St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, in 1646. This was Thomas Butler, Earl of Ossery (1634-1680), who was the eldest son of James Butler (1610-1688), 1st Marquess of Ormonde, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. The Archbishop of Dublin was present to conduct the 'laying of hands' at the confirmation. Also in volume 1, at the end of one of the sermons, it states 'Hitherto I preached and then was debarred of my ministry the 25th June 1649'.

Tripartite indenture made 13 June 1679 between Thomas Jameson, vicar of the parish church of St John, Hackney, the Wardens and Commonalty of the Goldsmiths' Company of London, and Josiah Williams, blacksmith, and Josiah Ebrell, merchant, churchwardens of the said parish, whereby Jameson entrusted the Company and the churchwardens with £100, the interest of which at 5% was to finance two annual sermons (on Good Friday and Ascension Thursday) to be delivered in St John's by its vicar, and alms for the poor.

Navy Office records belonging to Charles Sergison comprising Navy Board Minutes, 1673 to 1718 (seventy-six volumes), and copies of Admiralty orders to the Navy Board, 1603 to 1717 (thirteen volumes), mostly after 1674. The Serge Prokofiev Archive consists of copies of the private and business papers and correspondence of Serge Prokofiev, [1915]-1936; Lina and Oleg Prokofiev's private archives, consisting of personal and family correspondence, business papers, photos and press cuttings; scrapbooks and other material relating to Serge Prokofiev collated by Christopher Palmer; and pamphlets, articles, press cuttings and programme notes relating to performances of Prokofiev's work. Also housed in the Archive are a collection of literature on and around Prokofiev in a variety of languages, in particular English and Russian; Prokofiev's complete works in numerous editions; and a large collection of audio and video recordings. Copies of his original manuscript musical scores are held on microfilm and CDRom.

Two fragments of leaves containing parts of the sequences 'Eia Recolamus laudibus piis digna' and 'Natus ante secula dei filius' for Christmas on the first leaf; and 'Festa christi omnis christianitas celebret' for Epiphany on the second. The manuscript was probably written in South-west Germany in the 14th century.

'I intend to send you another, interleaved copy, on which I shall beg for as many remarks as you can give me, for my second edition. I know no critic equal to you'.

Manuscript volume containing an account by Nassau William Senior of the Poor Law Amendment Bill conferences, 1834. Includes a transcript of a letter dated 2 Mar 1834 from Senior to Henry Petty-Fitzmaurice, 3rd Marquis of Lansdowne. A note by Sir George Nicholls, dated 1851, states 'This very interesting account...was given me by Mr Senior. The detail is valuable and instructive, and I trust Mr Senior will some day make it public. He has given me permission to make use of it in the Work I have commenced, but I purpose doing so in a way that shall not anticipate or interfere with his publishing of the entire, whenever he may determine on doing this'. Senior later gave the manuscript to Nicholls.

Correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, offprints and articles of Dr Milos Sekulich, 1924-1984 (mainly 1941-1984). The material relates mainly to Yugoslavia and Yugoslav, specifically Serbian emigre politics. Some of the major themes of the material are the conflict within the Serbian Orthodox Church in Britain caused by accusations of communist influence, attempts at commemorating and rehabilitating the memory of General Draza Mihailovic, attempts to publicise the Croatian Ustashi atrocities against Serbs and libel cases brought by Sekulich against other members of the Serbian emigre community. There is a small amount of material on his medical interest and research into tuberculosis.

Promising to send a tracing of a map of Corbridge, Northumberland; suggests sources bearing on the history of land tenure in Northumberland. (2) From [James] Saunders, of Clapham and Westminster, 20 Oct 1892. Covering letter sent with tracings of some common field systems, discussing land tenure.

Both letters are autograph, with signatures.

The archive consists of papers relating to the activities and members of See Red Women's Workshop, 1974-1984. It includes correspondence; notebooks containing minutes; press cuttings; poster catalogues and photographs showing members at work in the screen-print workshop.

Lady Catherine Sedley's recipe book, 1686, containing mostly medical recipes with a few culinary recipes. The handwriting appears to change towards the end of the book, however it may also be that it is the same hand only deteriorated.
