These images, dating from 1981 to 1995, are of a number of events in London, as well as changes to the landscape and sights.

These photographs show a variety of images from the East End of London, and in particular the area around Spitalfields, during the 1970s. Included are pictures of churches, a mosque and a synagogue.

These photographs show life at a selection of London schools, 1895-1905; comprising: the Rosendale Road School, West Dulwich; Anerley Deaf School, Acre Lane; Stockwell Training College; The Chaucer School, Bermondsey; and Sayer Street School, New Kent Road.

J Lyons and Company Limited, food manufacturers and caterers, comprising application forms for and information about The Lyons Club. Dated to the 1960s. Lyons ran sports clubs for staff members and their families, providing sports facilities.

Records of the London Electricity Board and predecessors, 1883-2003. This collection contains a wide variety of material including minute books, staff records, technical reports, engineers' log books, photographic and printed material (including newsletters, magazines and leaflets and booklets on electricity services) of the LEB (1948-1990) and LEB inherited material from a large number of undertakings operating in the pre-vesting period (1882-1948).

Records relating to Clapham Labour Party. The collection includes minutes of Clapham Labour Party's executive committee and general management committee as well as information on borough and LCC elections. The correspondence referring to Dr MacGregor Reid (President of the Clapham Labour Party in 1926, d 1946), his alleged attack on other Labour and Socialist Parties and ensuing enquiry is especially engaging. However, the records also mention the Battersea Division and contain correspondence of the London Labour Party and national Labour Party. Of particular note are the official Labour Party posters reflecting policy on topics such as farming, coal strikes and the family and its publications about issues such as refugees, Soviet wartime policy and Palestinians in Israel.

Dissertation by Charles Bornat, architecture student. It comprises a comprehensive survey of old London doorways, 1660-1810, and includes sketches and photographs by Bornat.

Records of the Cannon Brewery Company Limited, 1787-1991. This collection contains corporate, accounts and staff and premises records. Corporate records include minutes of Board meetings and Directors' meetings. It also includes the minutes book of Pelican Caterers Limited, the meetings of which were held at the Cannon Brewery. Staff and accounts records include a salaries ledger and a volume of annual returns. Premises records include documents relating to brewery premises and individual public houses with title deeds and plans, tenancy agreements and documents relating to the transfer of properties with Ind Coope Limited after Cannon Brewery was acquired.

Records of Westways Greetings including sale catalogues and unused greeting cards published by Lip Productions Limited, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America and imported by Westways Greetings for sale in the United Kingdom. The cards depict gay and Christmas themes mainly marketed to the gay and lesbian community. Some of the cards depict Black people / people of African descent and other ethnic origin.

No administrative records of the firm are known to survive.

Records of the Great Western (London) Housing Association, covering the association's creation in 1923 to its dissolution in 1990. They include a complete run of forty two volumes of minute books and annual reports.

Plan of a district, partly in Isleworth and partly in Heston, appointed to a chapelry in Hounslow, 1836; and plan of land required to widen Heston Road in Heston, 1925.

Records of the New Road Synagogue, Whitechapel, 1924-1974. With the exception of the two minute books the majority of the records date from the mid 1960s, when J. Lindsay took over as Secretary of the New Road Synagogue. He remained in post until the amalgamation in 1974. The correspondence files are those which were maintained by J. Lindsay. Their contents reflect the wide range of duties undertaken by members of the Synagogue within the Jewish community.

Records relating to the parish of Saint Saviour, Borough High Street, Southwark; also known as the Cathedral Church of Saint Saviour and Saint Mary Overy. This is a large and extensive collection and it is recommended that researchers consult the detailed catalogue. Summary of some of the major holdings:

Records of Horne, Engall and Freeman, solicitors, [1200]-1953, consisting of practice papers, records deriving from clerkships and other official capacities and Mr Scott Freeman's personal records, collection of maps and prints of Middlesex and printed material on the history of Staines. The material relates predominantly to Staines but also includes Ashford, Cranford, Egham, Feltham and Stanwell.

This collection consists of architectural drawings (on paper) of Kneller Hall, Twickenham, by George Mair, 1844-1848. The drawings of both First and Second Series bear the signatures: 'J.P. Kay Shuttleworth' and 'John Kelk'. In addition to the signatures all the drawings bear, in Kay-Shuttleworth's hand and following his signature, a date: 'Feb. 8. 1848' in the case of the First Series, and 'June 17 1848' in the case of Second Series. All the drawings bear, near Mair's inscription, the number 51/1844, which is perhaps his commission number or 'job number'. Moreover, all the drawings bear a circular stencilled stamp reading '1861 R.E. Office London' enclosing a number (either 6, 7, or 12).

Drawings in the First Series are all scaled 1 inch to 10 ft. They are all signed; 'Geo. Mair, architect, 18 Charlotte Street, Bedford Sq, London'. Most have original legends which contain clear indication that they relate to proposed alterations to an existing building. Drawings include: basement plan; ground plan; first floor plan; second floor plan; plan of roofs; entrance elevation; back elevation and side elevation.

Drawings of the Second Series show a very substantially altered building as compared with that depicted in the First Series. They are all signed: 'Geo. Mair, archt., May 1848'. Drawings include: plan of footing and drains; basement plan; ground plan; first floor plan; second floor plan; plan of roofs; north elevation; east elevation; west elevation showing additional buildings over the offices; transverse section C-D on plans and longitudinal section A-B.

Papers of William Allen Daley, 1903-1913, comprise awards and photographs relating to Daley's medical career and achievements. The collection contains medals awarded to Daley, relating to his medical achievements, notably the George Holt Medal, Physiology, University of Liverpool, 1907 (Daley/01/03); photographs and illustrations, including images of staff within various institutions, notably including a photograph of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth with a small party including Daley, 1940s (Daley/02/05) and certificates, acknowledging his professional qualifications and additional achievements including his Fellowship of Royal Society of Health, 1926 (Daley/03/06).

Papers of James T Duncan, 1920, contain handwritten research or lecture notes titled 'Principles of standardisation of agglutinable cultures' and include relevant scientific tables and diagrams.

Papers of George Macdonald consist of a diary and photograph albums of malaria eradication work in Malaysia, Singapore and Ceylon with Sir Malcolm Watson, 1937; diaries of his work in Italy and Sicily during World War Two; photographs of malaria control measures during World War Two in the Middle East, Egypt, Algiers, Crete, Sicily, Cyprus and Greece and a personnel file relating to his appointment to the Ross Institute, his overseas visits and his death.
