Records of the Field Lane Foundation. The earliest records date to 1842 in its incarnation as the Sabbath School. These comprise management committee minutes which run as a continuous series to 1984 and reflect the change from Sabbath School to Ragged School in 1850.

Important series include the deeds and papers of Field Lane dating from 1801 to 1961. There are also series relating to each of the major homes and organisations associated with or run by the Field Lane Association including the Home Workers Aid Association and the 5 holiday or retirement homes: Eastwood, Dovers, The Priory, Holly Hill and Singholm. The collection includes George Baines' correspondence and papers re his work at Brize Norton, 1962-1966 and school magazines from Ashwell County Primary School, 1950s. However, the majority of the papers are those of George and Judith Baines relating to their work at Eynsham County Primary School, 1960s-1980s. These include administrative papers, teachers' guides, teachers' record books, school magazines, building plans and press cuttings. Also included is a copy of the episode of the BBC television series, 'The Expanding Classroom' which featured the work of George and Judith Baines at Eynsham School. The film was made in the summer term of 1969 before the first new school building burnt down. The collection contains many examples of children's work, mainly from Eynsham County Primary School, but also from Brize Norton, including project books, creative writing, audio tapes of music, art work, including block printing, and work with fabric. The project books each include some mathematics, scientific obeservation or experiment, creative writing and art work and were bound in block-printed covers designed and executed by the children. Also included are texts of lectures and lecture notes; papers relating to courses and workshops; correspondence re visits, including overseas connections (Iceland, Canada and the USA), 1960s-1980s; papers relating to George and Judith Baines work with students at Bishop Grossteste College, Lincolnshire, 1980s. The collection also includes a substantial amount of material relating to Henry Morris and his contemporaries. The remainder comprises material generated by Rée as a result of his research on Morris, 1969-1980s, including correspondence with friends and colleagues of Morris and drafts of chapters for an edited volume of Morris's writings.

Reports on the situation of Jewish schools in Poland in 1931 and 1937 comprising report by Elchonon Lewin, president of Verband der jüdischen Studenten Vereine in Polen on the effect of the anti-Jewish boycott movement; the fears of further restricted entry into the teaching profession; the failure of the Polish Socialist Party in opposing the antisemitic measures and the need for well known writers and professors to voice their disapproval of the current trend, 6 Jan 1931, and a report providing statistics on the state of school provision for Jewish school children and describing the extent of poverty and deprivation endured by them, 24 Feb 1937.

Mary Ann Gilbert, wife of Davies Gilbert (then President of the Royal Society) and founder of the Self-Suporting School of Industry, Willington, Sussex]. Acknowledging receipt of 'your pamphlet on self-supporting schools', but doubts whether such an establishment would be successful in Ireland. Enclosing a 'copy of the regulations of some allotments which I am trying to establish here'.

The collection is comprised of two parts. The first contains records relating to the administration of the school, such as a series of pupil records cards, accounts, staff handbooks and other material, as well as copies of the school magazine and Old Girls Association newsletters. The second part of the collection contains material belonging to a former pupil Eleanor Roberts, who attended the school between 1928-1936. The records include her school exercise books and diaries.

The collection consists of records and photographs relating to Wandsworth School. The administrative records consist of punishment books, copies of the school rules, lists of prefects, and registers of staff absence. The photographs consist of images of the staff, sports teams, and school trips. There is an extensive collection of letters from old boys and their families written to the headmaster Mr King during World War Two providing information on casualties, career progressions, and involvement in the armed forces.

The collection is made up of papers belonging to the second headmaster of the school W.V. Wallace and his wife who also taught at the school. The papers include correspondence with the parents, a visitors book, exercise books and other material produced by the students, school newsletters and magazine, as well as papers and letters relating to the closure of the school in 1986. There is also a significant amount of photographs from the 1960s onwards showing various school events such as sports days, concerts, plays and other events.
