Records of the Sherborn family of East Bedfont. The main part of the collection consists of family, estate and parish documents. Most refer to land and events in East Bedfont and the surrounding parishes. There are some fine estate plans (most notably the 1694 plan of Pates Manor, ref ACC/3259/SE2/001) and complementary records concerning enclosure and tithe apportionment. Family correspondence includes the letter book of William Sherborn 1846-1870 (ref ACC/3259/SF3/001) and letters signed by Sir Edward Sherburne, royalist and poet 1684-1687 (ref ACC/3259/SF3/003-005). In addition, there are many references to incidents in local history which will bear interesting comparison with records already deposited in the archive. The artificial collections consist partly of title deeds and partly of correspondence, which includes communication news concerning industrial developments in the West Riding of Yorkshire, 1806-1822 (ref ACC/3259/AX/042-046).

Records of Leslie R Wolfson's dental practice, 1934-1987, consisting largely of accounts such as balance sheets, cash books, bills, receipts and tax papers relating to Mr Wolfson's dental practices in Enfield; sample of patients' record cards (patients unidentifiable); booklets, pamphlets, and so on regarding aspects of dentistry, National Health Service leaflets and other leaflets on dental charges; and correspondence concerning property transactions in Enfield including agreement for sale of general practice at Grange Park, Enfield.

Records of Currys Group plc, 1896-1985. The collection comprises records of the parent company and a few records of subsidiary and associated companies.

The records of the parent company include memoranda and articles of association (ACC/3485/1-3), a series of board minute books, 1922-79 (with gaps) (ACC/3485/4-16), which, in addition to policy decisions, include minutes of some annual general meetings and committee meetings, one separate AGM minute book, 1927-72 (ACC/3485/17) and an almost unbroken series of annual reports and statements of accounts presented to shareholders, 1925-83 (ACC/3485/18-74). There are also minutes of meetings of three committees: the directors' committee (known also at various times as the depot management committee, the joint managing directors' committee and the group management committee), 1927-85 (ACC/3485/77-124), at which decisions concerning the operation of the business especially at branch level were taken, the committee of the staff life assurance scheme, 1952-8 (ACC/3485/125) and the sealing committee, 1966-8 (ACC/3485/126). The collection also includes a few share records (ACC/3485/127-31), internal accounting and financial records (ACC/3485/132-43), records relating to the administration of the business (ACC/3485/144-9) and records relating to property (ACC/3485/150-60).

Records of Highbury Hill High School, Shelburne High School and Highbury Fields School, 1903-1992, including papers relating to the amalgamation of Highbury Hill High School and Shelburne High School to form Highbury Fields School, including the campaign against amalgamation; administrative records including Highbury Hill admission registers, Highbury Fields admission register, and log books for Shelburne School. Also general administrative papers; financial accounts; correspondence; papers relating to the curriculum; papers of Governing Bodies and Committees; publications; papers relating to Shelburne Youth Centre; and staff registers.

Records of Samuel Fisher, local government officer. The collection reflects the range of his interests and involvement in public life. There are a large number of photographs and press cuttings as well as some family papers. The photographs show Fisher's activities as Mayor and as Chairman of the London Labour Mayors Association, and include pictures of visits to Geneva, Australia, Gibraltar, New York, Israel and Belfast.

Records relating to the estate of William Willett, including records relating to properties in Hammersmith, Belsize Park, St John's Wood, Earl's Court, Kensington, Marylebone, Mill Hill, Brighton and Hove; and papers of the trustees of the estate including reports, financial accounts and statements, receipts, and allocation of income.

Papers of the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust. This collection consists of wide ranging material which documents the creation of Hampstead Garden Suburb and its growth and development during the twentieth century.

The records refer to the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust's activities; the family papers of Samuel and Henrietta Barnett; the suburb organisations; the suburb recreational socities; the Henrietta Barnett school; the Institute; and the Wellgarth Nursery Training College. There are printed sources and oral history sources which can be referred to.

This collection contains a significant number of plans: plans of the suburb; plans of licence applications for proposed alterations; area plans of the suburb; and RIBA photographs of Lutyens drawings for the church.

There is also a large collection of photographs. These include subjects related to the suburb as well as images of the suburb itself.

This substantial collection consists mainly of statutory business records of associated companies with very little relating to production: meeting minutes of the board 1864-1937, directors minutes, 1868-1871, general meeting minutes, 1864-1918, shareholders committee minutes, 1875, debenture trustee minutes, 1887-97, 1901-02, finance and executive committee minutes 1864-1866; share ledgers, c 1917-38; balance sheets and accounts, 1920-1936; ledgers, c 1931-1934, private ledgers, 1934-61; journals, 1939-1942, private journals, 1934-1960; private cash books, 1926-62, petty cash books, 1938-8; cheque account books, 1933-8; bills receivable books, 1935-64; nominal accounts for Calcutta, 1889-1954, and Christchurch, 1920-44; and Durban private ledger, 1900-1922.

Records of Catesbys Limited, department store, 1908-1958. The records consist of registers of members and directors, annual returns and minutes. There are also private ledgers, many indexed; progress and stock books, as well as wage returns. There is a salaries book for Catesbys Contract and Export Ltd.

Includes records relating to the solicitors' business including financial records, transaction diaries and deed registers; Chester family deeds and wills; deeds and wills relating mainly to South London; and records concerning Saint Mary, Newington; Holy Trinity, Southwark and Saint Peter, Walworth.

Records of James F Fletcher Limited, funeral directors, 1808-1896. The records relate both to the firm, James F. Fletcher Limited, and to the Fletcher family and consist mainly of legal documents such as wills and leases.

Records of the General Hydraulic Power Company Limited, 1882-1992, containing corporate and administrative records, accounting records, share details, property and legal records, personnel records, technical records and printed material for the General Hydraulic Power Company Limited and associated companies.

Records of Michael Gibbon, innkeeper of Holborn, comprising three account books showing that as well as managing the inn and busy livery stable - sending horses to grass on 'the Marshes' - Gibbons undertook varied purchases and commissions for his customers, many of whom were from Gray's Inn across the road, and also from other Inns of Court. One of his customers Denzil Suckling, a member of the Middle Temple, appears to have acted as trustee for a young girl, Sophia Bright; Gibbons' accounts include payment for her schooling, clothing and medical care.
