I. 18 - Coronation Ceremonials. 16th-century compilation re Coronations of monarchs and consorts, Richard II - Elizabeth I, including some lists of those attending, names of Knights of the Bath and of the carpet created, and speeches made in the City of London when Elizabeth I passed through it on the way to her Coronation. Also includes list of the retinue of Edward III in expedition to France and Normandy and during Siege of Calais, 1346, and copies of warrants to provide money and livery to Officers of Arms when travelling to wars and attendant upon army, 1544 and 1547. The archive consists of a photocopy of a typescript memoir (28 pages). In 1985 Lois Lang-Sims wrote this memoir about her aunt, Agnes Maude Royden (see also 7AMR) the suffragist and campaigner for the ordination of women.

Records of the Association of Lay Preachers. This collection consists of administrative material - constitutions and amendments; correspondence; minutes and records of attendance at meetings. There are also publications - booklets of talks and lectures on religious themes, and newsletters.

Lectionarium Pro Sanctis Diebus Et Festis (lectionary for holy days and feasts). Apparently incomplete. On the modern binding is: Sermones de sanctis. saec. XII (12th century sermons on saints).

Records relating to the Liberal Jewish Synagogue and the Jewish Religious Union, consisting of the working papers and sermons of Israel Mattuck, Lily Montagu, Claude Montefiore and Leslie Edgar. The records do not deal exclusively with their roles within the Liberal Jewish movement, but cover a range of their activities. Some more personal correspondence also exists within the collection. There are also some papers of the Jewish Religious Union, including history and press cuttings.

The archive consists of memorabilia of suffrage activities including press cuttings, objects and hunger-strike medal; publications and manuscript material on the ordination of women and animal protection; correspondence; correspondence from Hove Borough Council relating to a commemorative plaque and photographs.

Handwritten volume of transcriptions of sermons given by Reverend Henry John Gamble, delivered between 1849 and 1850.

Also seventeenth century reprint of book of sermons (including the 39 Articles) dating to 1562. The book could have belonged to the Reverend Gamble or to the Congregational Church, Linden Grove, Camberwell.

Records of the parish of Saint Peter and the District Church of Little St Peter, Cricklewood, including registers of baptisms, marriages, confirmations, banns of marriage, and church services; financial accounts; and minutes.

Records of the Court of the Chief Rabbi, London Beth Din, 1904-1988. The bulk of the archive transferred to London Metropolitan Archives are the administrative papers and general correspondence of the Court, and in particular that of the Clerks and Registrar. There are also files concerning consultations the Beth Din undertook with the Government on the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Bill in the 1980s. Some correspondence and rough notes of the individual Dayanim and records relating to work done with refugees in the Second World War have also been deposited.

Records, 1877-1960, of the Fernhead Road Methodist Church (minute books and notices); the Harrow Road Methodist Church (insurance policies); the Sutherland Avenue Methodist Church (papers regarding property and trusteeship, financial accounts, minute books, pulpit notices books, attendance registers, Sunday School papers); and the London Methodist Mission (North West) Circuit (financial accounts).

Manuscript volume, 15th century, containing 'De Confessione, liber primus': book one (of three) of the Malogranatum ascribed to Gallus, abbot of the Cistercian abbey of Königssaal, Bohemia.

The binding incorporates part of a 12th-century treatise on music. The leaf on each front board contained an alphabetical list of 36 antiphons.

Manuscript volume, 1733, 1738, containing two texts by Johann Heinrich Meister (Jean Henri Le Maitre), 'Christliche Glaubens- und Lebenslehre' (Instructions in the Life and Faith of a Christian), followed by a short tract, 'Examen des communicans pour l'usage de l'Eglise Françoise de Buckebourg' (examination of communicants for the use of the French church at Bückeburg).

Records of the New Road Synagogue, Whitechapel, 1924-1974. With the exception of the two minute books the majority of the records date from the mid 1960s, when J. Lindsay took over as Secretary of the New Road Synagogue. He remained in post until the amalgamation in 1974. The correspondence files are those which were maintained by J. Lindsay. Their contents reflect the wide range of duties undertaken by members of the Synagogue within the Jewish community.

Ordo Diei et Semita Vitae: Christian devotional manuscript. Written in one hand, a small neat italic with initials in red. Some annotations. There is a calendar at the end with dates from 1673 to 1722.
