Records of the Three Mills Distillery, West Ham, 1765-1951, relating to property owned by the distillery, including copyholds of the Manor of West Ham; conveyances, easements, deeds, leases, abstract of title and mortgages; partnership deeds; legal papers relating to a proposed High Court Case (Chancery Division) relating to Three Mills Bridge; proposed Bills in Parliament relating to the River Lee Trust and Lee Conservancy Bills; solicitor's fees and expenses; surveyor's reports; financial accounts; insurance policies; plans and correspondence.

Papers of Henry Thring, 1st Baron Thring, relating to the establishment and constitution of the Royal College of Music (RCM), 1877-1883, mostly comprising correspondence of Thring (mainly his office copies) and members of the Committee of Management of the National Training School for Music, Prince Christian's Executive Committee of the Royal and National College of Music and the Council of the RCM, particularly in regard to the drafting and granting of the royal charter to the RCM, with manuscript and printed drafts of the charter of the RCM and regulations of the RCM. The papers also include a small quantity of material relating to Thring's RCM Building's Sub Committee to report on the heating, ventilation and drainage of the new RCM building, 1889; the minute of condolence of the Council of the RCM on the death of Lord Thring, 14 Mar 1907; correspondence relating to the donation of the Thring papers to the RCM, 1951.

Manuscript volume containing a memorial concerning proposed alterations to the laws relating to bankruptcy and the ranking of creditors in Scotland, [1716], protesting against the adoption of English laws in Scotland.

Papers relating to turnpike roads, comprising copies of the 1766 Act to repair the highways between Tyburn and Uxbridge... and for amending the road from Brent Bridge over Hanwell Heath, through... Hanwell, New Brentford, and Ealing to the Great Western Road; and for lighting, watching, and watering the highway between Tyburn and Kensington Gravel Pits; a plan of the Great Road from Tybourn to Uxbridge and from Brent Bridge to Brentford; and the 1794 Act to continue the term and enlarge the powers of the 1766 Act.

Papers relating to the University of Cape Town's opposition to the South African Universities Amendment Bill, under which univerisities were to be prohibited from admitting black students beyond a quota to be stipulated annually by the Government, 1982-1983.

Letter from Henry Warburton to Francis Place, 27 Apr 1821. Discussing the bill on usury laws and asks Place to find 'small tradesmen' who support the bill to give evidence before the House of Lords Committee which the government has undertaken to consider their reform.

Volume containing the printed reports of the Committee appointed to enquire into the original standards of weights and measures (in 1758 and 1759), Statutes on the same subject, and a report and inquisition on the same, with reference to the county of Renfrew (1827). These printed items are annotated in various hands, including that of John Joshua Probyn, 1st Earl of Carysfort.
The volume also contains two manuscript items, numbered 10 and 14, namely 'Remarks upon some of the practical provisions contained in the Weights and Measures Bill', as amended on recommitment (1 July 1822) and printed, written by A Campbell in 1823; and 'Powers in the Uniformity Weights and Measures Act (5 Geo.4, c.74) and statutes therein referred to for preventing other than legal weights and measures', in the hand of Lord Carysfort, written in 1824.

Letter from Richard Griffiths Welford of 6 Chancery Lane, [London] to [William Pleydell-Bouverie,] Earl of Radnor, 20 Mar 1843. Explaining that he has 'ventured to direct' his publisher to forward a copy of his 'tract upon the agricultural view of the corn law question' to Lord Radnor; giving his reasons for doing so.
