Sin títuloPapers of Dr Christopher Draper, 1949-1997, includes correspondence, research papers, notebooks, photographs, slides, articles, publications, teaching material, data tables and graphs concerning Christopher Draper's career as a medical officer, researcher and lecturer in tropical medicine. The collection relates to many of Draper's research projects overseas such as malaria studies in East Africa, particularly the Pare-Taveta and Mara regions and material also relates to other short-term projects abroad on behalf of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, World Health Organization or Overseas Development Administration. Research papers concern important work carried out in seroepidemiology, ELISA tests and malaria and teaching material includes slides for lectures, handouts and correspondence with students. Most of the papers stem from Draper's time at the LSHTM although photographs of Draper's posting as medical officer in the Middle East for the Red Cross are included.

Sin títuloTapes and transcripts of interviews conducted in 1988 by Sam Sussman with three Nottingham psychiatrists (A.D. Douglas, E.D. Oram and A. Minto). Mr. Sussman's intention had been to produce a history of psychiatric treatment in the U.K. through the eyes of its practitioners similar to the one he had already produced on Canada; copies of this work (Pioneers of Mental Health and Social Change by Djuwe Joe Blom and Sam Sussman, Third Eye, London Canada, 1989) are also included in this collection. A.D. Douglas and E.D. Oram of Saxondale Hospital were interviewed first; the recordings were typed up and subsequently corrected and slightly amended, evidently in preparation for the publication. The interviewees discuss their training and experiences as psychiatrists and the changes in the profession from the 1940's and 1950's. The Wellcome Library subsequently received cassettes of those interviews, as well as a cassette and transcript of a similar interview with Dr Alfred Minto of Nottingham.

Follow-up cards for most of the cases were attached to the relevant pages of the volume. For conservation reasons, these and the other enclosures have been removed to separate folders (GC/172/2-3).
Mr Williams also allowed copies to be made of text and photographs from a scrapbook which he had put together of his service with No 6 Field Surgical Unit (FSU), and of loose photographs, including transparencies.

The two earlier books are informal records of income and expenditure with simple lists of incoming and outgoing payments (including household, family and private expenses) plus year-end analyses. These possibly represent a larger series of rough account books, from which the numbered series of cash books were prepared, which seems likely given that there is an overlap between GP/55/2 and GP/55/3, which both cover the year 1963.
