Janson, Cobb, Pearson and Company, solicitors, of 22 College Hill (1900-79); previously of 83 Basinghall Street (1728-1820), 4 Basinghall Street (1821-65), and 41 Finsbury Circus (1866-1900). Until 1885, the records are those of a succession of partners working under partnership agreements, in their own names, at the addresses above. Since 1885, the partners have retained the title Janson, Cobb, Pearson and Co. Partners prior to 1885 were as follows: Nathaniel Cole (1728-58), John Partridge (1758-74), Godfrey Kettle (1763-91), Thomas Loggen (1780-1810), James Pearson (1792-1803), Richard Smith (1804-37), George Rickards (1811-25), Robert Riddell Bayley (1826-52), Frederick Halsey Janson (1836-1913), Charles Cooper (1852-4), Thomas Pix Cobb (1855-98), and John Michael Pearson (1825-92).
