In 1908 all the King's College Hospital Clubs and Societies became amalgamated, and the Clubs and Societies Union of King's College Hospital Medical School was inaugurated. The Union was managed by a Council consisting of a President, a Treasurer, and an Honorary Secretary, and representatives of the honorary staff, resident medical officers, and students. The Union embraced the Listerian Society, the Dental Society, the Common Rooms, the Musical Society, the Athletic, the Cricket, Football, Lawn Tennis, Hockey, Swimming, Boxing, Squash, Golf, and Dance Clubs, and the Christian Union.

Council minutes, 1908-1914 and 1918-1920, including pasted in printed rules and regulations of the union; Council minutes, 1920-1964, with pasted in meeting papers and sometimes including rules and bye-laws of clubs and societies, lists of elected union officers, lists of officers of each club and society, and annual accounts of the union; indexed ledgers, 1923-1954 (1942-1947 missing); cash book, 1923-1937; rules and bye-laws printed leaflet and pamphlet, post-1912 and 1956; rules of the union, 1963; proposed new constitution, 1965; 'Amended proposed constitution and standing orders of the clubs and societies union', 1966; correspondence relating to accounts, between firms and the Clubs and Societies Union, particularly for works carried out to extend the sports pavilion at Dog Kennel Hill, 1932-1935; minutes, annual reports and financial statements, 1921-1938 and 1952-1956, of the Athletic Club; printed sports day programmes of the Athletic Club, 1930-1962, some annotated with results; printed fixtures programmes of the Athletic Club, 1962; minutes and meeting papers of the Men's and Combined Men's and Women's Common Room Societies, 1934-1966; minutes and agenda of the Cricket Club, [1965]; minutes, mainly of Annual General Meetings, reports on lectures delivered, and signatures of members present at meetings, 1954-1971, of the Historical Society; minutes, annual accounts, results of fixtures, reports on dinners, and club rules, 1919-1941, of the Hockey Club; ledger, 1924-1940, of the Rugby Football Club; minutes, mainly of Annual General Meetings, reports on swimming galas, and club rules, 1922-1938, of the Swimming Club; minutes, 1920-1937, of the Women's Common Room Club.

Arranged chronologically as above, as records of the Clubs and Societies Union, and records of the clubs and societies themselves that were part of the Union.

Administrative and committee papers are closed for 30 years from the last date on file.
